PODy Mouth has released the latest in their regular list of monthly special offers in self publishing. This month seems to provide some of the biggest offers ever seen in the space.

Competition seems to be hotting up amongst providers of self publishing services. When the free offers increase, it clearly demonstrates theĀ  increasing activity in the market - or does it demonstrate a decrease in business and therefore the self publishing companies are having to work harder to attract authors?

There are certainly more options in these days for an author to find an audience. Text and print based publishing is just one of them with the increasing prevalence of audio and video, and the increasing ease of production. But how many authors have considered this route?

When podcasting appeared in mid 2004, it did not take long for a handful of pioneering authors saw the new medium as a means to get their work out there to a rapidly growing audience consuming the new audio programming. Several have managed to them move the audio works over to print and have been finding some success in sales.

Today’s publishing will be covering a series of articles on audio book creation and publishing in 2008, looking at some of the more successful audio book publishers, and providing tips and techniques for suthors to have their work in the years of audience all around the world.
